Benefits of Tracking Your Progress

Progress keeps you motivated

Tracking your progress makes it easier to stick to your workout plans, and can help you keep moving forward.  Keeping progress pictures with dates can reveal how much progress you've made that could otherwise go unnoticed.

Keeps you accountable

When you track your weight loss, workouts, and meals, you can see the undeniable results of your journey. Maybe you think you’ve been doing generally well, but one break or snack can quickly lead to more, and being able to see all of these instances at once can be eye opening.

Let's say you start just by taking progress pictures. As you near your goals, and see the changes you’re looking for, you may be motivated to track other things in your life, which can help improve those things as well.

See how far you’ve come

When I began my weight loss journey I never imagined it would take more than 6-8 months.  And the longer it went on, the more discouraged I got. But being able to look back at progress pictures, food logs, and other progress I've made helps me avoid discouragement when I start to think I should have abs and 10% body fat by now. Progress, no matter the amount, is positive!
